Shampoo Bar Care: Storage, Travel & Better Rinsing

A little care between washes makes a shampoo bar easier to use. For our SHAMPOO BAR - ZERO WASTE, start with two habits: let it dry completely between uses, and rinse your hair thoroughly after washing.
Store it dry, with room to breathe
After washing, place your bar on a clean, slotted soap dish or a well-ventilated holder that lets water drain away. Keep it out of standing water and away from the shower spray. Empty and clean the dish regularly so the bar is not resting on wet buildup.
Make space for drying in humid bathrooms
If your bathroom stays steamy, move the bar to a dry, airy spot outside the shower after use. Leave space around it for airflow and use your bathroom's ventilation when available. Avoid sealing a damp bar in a jar or closed tin.
Pack thoughtfully for travel
Let the bar dry completely before packing it in a reusable travel case. If you need to leave while it is still damp, drain off excess water and pack it separately from belongings that must stay dry. Open the case and set the bar out to air-dry as soon as you arrive. A closed travel tin is for transport, not drying.
Lather lightly
Wet your hair thoroughly, then wet the bar and rub it between your hands to build a lather. Apply the lather to your scalp and massage gently with your fingertips. Start with a small amount and add more only as needed, rather than repeatedly coating the lengths with the bar.
Rinse to help avoid residue
Rinse thoroughly with water, lifting sections so water reaches your scalp, the back of your head, and behind your ears. If hair feels coated after drying, try using less product and taking extra time to rinse on your next wash. Hard water or other hair products can also contribute to buildup, so do not assume more shampoo is the answer. Follow with conditioner as needed and rinse according to its directions.
If sensitivity occurs, discontinue use. Keep the routine simple: lather, rinse thoroughly, drain, and air-dry.
